Surgery is Over, Now He's Saying Funny Things.

Today was one of the longest days of my life. After calling my dad this morning as he was on his way to the hospital (there is nothing harder than hearing my own Dad start to sniffle and choke up), I waited patiently while hour after hour passed. I was so thrilled when my mom called to say that everything was fine. Apparently he is talking foolishness while he's under all the meds. "Put another log on the air conditioner," "Do you have my ring?" "I could run a race," and other random lines. It sounds like he is going in and out of talking with huge eyes wide open and full of expression, and then falling right back into sleep in seconds.
These pictures were taken one night in Utah when Makenna was singing I am a Child of God at the top of her lungs. She is always a good sport when it comes to saying, "I love you Papa," "De Do Du, Papa," or giving him hugs and kisses when he asks. I'm thinking that he will heal just fine if he is around his granddaughters. They will keep him young. :)

We're so happy that everything went well. Simon told me about "I could run a race." That made me laugh.

When did you take all these great pictures?! I didn't even see you with your camera. You need to talk Asialene into getting a nice camera. Hopefully she has your gift for picture taking!

Asialene at the keys: those are cute pictures. Daddy already took the girls to the park today! So not sure if having the girls around is good or bad.... :)
