I just talked to my dad on the phone. He was telling me all about each and every one of his nurses, calling them by name, and telling me that he is going to give them my number so that they can come visit me in Grand Cayman. I'm not sure what he'll do when we live back in the states- he won't have his conversation starter of, "Do you want to go on a nice little visit? You can go stay with my daughter in the Caymans." He makes friends everywhere he goes. :) He said he is watching his favorite TV show, Cash Cab. I think that show is really funny and I don't really believe that they actually pick up random people on the street and then have them get in the cab and start answering questions. Don't you think they would take them somewhere first and then have them fill out different documents, prepare them for the camera, etc?
Tonight I am in charge of the Young Women's activity on modesty and fashion. We are going to have a little fashion show. These cute Caribbean girls will probably look better in my clothing than I do- they've got some cute booties!
I wasn't going to bring any treats, just my little handouts. I got them some cute headbands at Forever 21 when I was home. Can't beat $1.50. Anyway, now that I've started posting this picture I know exactly what I'll bring for treats. Ice Cream! The thought just came to me. I knew I was blogging instead of preparing for my lesson for a reason. :)

mmm...that ice cream cone looks tasty.
Shalynna, i agree with you on the cash cab thing. I bet you they try and find less than intelligent people too. They would go broke if they picked up every genius on the street. good luck at the fashion show!
Cute picture. Wish I could eat ice cream... :)
To answer your question, that photo was taken on a large piece of handmade paper from one of my favorite places ever: Paper Studio in Tempe. They're actually closing their retail store here, but they have tons of beautiful things online: http://paperstudio.com/
yummmy!! you are so cute, and girl i bet you anything those young women look up to you more than you know. i am so happy your dad is okay!!
thats too cute that you got them all headbands. they must just love you so much!
Blogging is perfect for just such inspirations. And now I want ice cream.
Ice cream is definitely my favorite food and long time nemesis. After exercising at the YMCA today, I ruined all of my hard work by stopping for ice cream on the way home with the girls :) - Amy
Love ice cream, too...and tend to get it more often now than before since I claim it's a "craving"...and I love that your Dad watches Cash Cab. It's one of my favs. ;)
Your blog is so cute. I love what you do with pictures. You need to give me some tips when you move back here to provo and we're best buds again. I'm glad your daddy is okay. I love the modesty fashion show and I love ice-cream
Hope the YW thing went well... you always go above and beyond. Also, that ice cream looks so good!
