I much prefer to have short, smaller blog posts often then having one very long one not so often. But, oh well.
{Barcelona, Spain August 2009}
-David is doing great in his classes. He is taking the hardest classes- if I read one thing from his text book it's like a foreign language. Who ever heard of the class average for an exam being 45%? Luckily he's been studying a lot and doing well. I'm proud of him.
- We took Christmas photos this weekend in the snow. I love the snow when I'm all warm inside and I can watch it fall peacefully to the ground and create white blankets everywhere.
- I have a baby shower tonight and I'm excited! David's cute cousins offered to host one for me. It'll be small, which is just what I like.
-David's brother, Chad, came to visit. He took the train and got here at 3:30 this morning. I'm waiting for him to wake up (David's at school, I didn't have class today) so that I can make him a delicious breakfast. I love guests.
-We leave for California next week for the Thanksgiving holiday. I have been thinking about the food for months now.
- David's mom is having another little baby shower for us while we are there. She is great at throwing parties.
- The semester is almost over. It went by very fast. I've actually enjoyed everything about it and look forward to finishing up next spring and summer. I have to brag because this has never happened to me before... I got the highest grade on an exam in my textiles class a few weeks ago. It is surprisingly a really hard class, but since most of my other classes don't require a lot of actual studying (more project type assignments) then I am able to focus more on this.
- David is the best husband. He is always serving me whether it is something simple like going downstairs to get me a drink of water or being the one to push the toothpaste up from the bottom of the tube so that it's easy for me every morning all the way to being the one to drive the forty minutes to school everyday.
- I'm still emotional. I was singing The Little Drummer Boy in the shower the other day and started crying. That song makes me cry more than any other Christmas song- isn't that funny?
- Last weekend was so much fun for some reason. David and I went to The Lyon House for their chicken. We had it at our wedding luncheon and I had been craving it ever since. It's the cutest little house with a great history (Brigham Young lived in it or visited it often or something) and it was really busy! There were a ton of people there and they were all probably over the age of 65. I think they all came from the temple or something. Anyway, after getting our delicious food, cafeteria style, we were able to sit at any of the tables. It felt like we were all a big huge happy family and it was very cozy. Then we went shopping at the Gateway Mall. The next day we took our Christmas photos and then saw A Christmas Carol with a really fun couple. They brought treats into the theater- my kind of people.
- Watched Twilight last night to prepare ourselves for tonight (next bullet point), and could hardly believe that our friend Brittany had never seen or read it. There are parts about this whole Twilight thing that I love (like the love story part) and parts that I get embarrassed for even watching or reading (really fast piggy back rides up the mountain).
- Tonight I'm going to a midnight showing of New Moon. Some girls rented out the entire theater and I was lucky enough to be invited. It should be fun.
- I'm missing Cayman right about now because it's Pirate's Week. Remember last year? I could really go for some of that fried fish.
- I've been having fun in the kitchen lately. I made a chocolate cheesecake, my mother-in-law's famous chocolate cookies, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, apple pie, comfort food like homemade chicken pot pie, and even tried my hand at some delicious, freshly squeezed lemonade. I'm getting excited for holiday baking.
- I'm over 34 weeks pregnant and feeling good.

Oh, my dear, I'm so glad you updated! I'm very glad you're doing so well in your pregnancy and David is so helpful.
There is a girl who sits in front of me in one of my classes who has the most beautiful, dark, shiny, no-flyaway hair, and it's cut the same length as yours, and I always think of you when I see her, because yours is equally lovely.
And then I weep because mine is not. Oh well.
