There was no huge event this past weekend, but all the little things added up to make it a perfect three days.
Friday or Saturday night is usually some sort of date night for us, but this weekend we ha home teaching to do on Friday night and my piano recital on Saturday. I wasn't too excited for either to be held on a weekend, but both nights ended up surprising me with how much fun we had. For some reason, home teaching followed by dinner at Wendy's was simply perfect. I'm a huge fan of fast food (don't judge me) and I was so happy that David and I were able to visit with Natasha's adorable children: Sasha, Jarvis, and Jared. They were teaching us how to speak with a Caymanian accent (i.e. 'Jo-red' {short o-sound} instead of 'Ja-red'), which was hilarious. I think we gained their trust because they asked to come to church with us from now on (they are usually busy on Sundays, so they haven't come in about a year). I wish I got a picture of 7-year old Jared wearing a full on white suit. Adorable.
These two lovely ladies share the same love for American Idol as I do. We watch it together every Tuesday. We used to switch off who made dinner, but lately Kieren has been making the most delicious meals and no one is complaining. Laura and Bryan are kind enough to give me a ride home each week while David plays tennis with members from the "club." :)
Sunday we went to church, ate ribs for dinner (one of my favorite meals), I bought a baby bag (not pregnant yet, but I can't pass up a good deal when I see one. I am very prepared for being pregnant. I have two pairs of maternity jeans, a couple maternity dresses and shirts, and now a baby bag. Now I just need to get pregnant!) and ended the day/night/weekend by watching one of the most touching and beautiful love stories of all time. Let's see if you can guess...
A movie quote quoted in another movie.
"Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories... we've already missed the spring."
If someone guesses the movie this quote is from and the movie that quotes the movie I will be so proud.

If you haven't seen it, watch it. I absolutely loved it.
I'm hoping that this weekend will be just as fun as the last. It does look promising. Friday: tennis match at the Ritz-Carlton watching some legendary pros, Saturday: baby-sitting the cats and living on the beach, celebrating our 2-year wedding anniversary Sunday: Finalizing plans for an exciting trip we are hoping to take this summer. I can't wait. I can't stop thinking about it.

You look beautiful in all the pictures -especially at the piano recital. I think it is so cute how you already have maternity stuff. Can't wait for you guys to have a little baby Crandall. That's gonna be one cute little babe. Happy Anniversary! Sounds like a fun weekend coming up - all except the cat part - I think you know how we feel about cats - that would be Simon's worst nightmare -having to babysit cats :)
such a fun post!! And that water looks amazingly fun. And hope you two get pregnant soon!! you're already prepared like you said. You'll be such a fun amazing momma
No problem. :) I figured you hadn't seen it. My fault for picking a really old post.
I love that you are already prepared for pregnancy. You're so cute!
I always love looking at your pics. No fair! With That beautiful beach right by. And you look gorgeous.
aw, thank you!! i love your baby bag buying. i'm not much into having babies yet, but i DID see the cutest onesie in the world a couple weeks ago at target and bought it because i figured i'd use it one day. it's just too hard to resist sometimes!!
Aren't exciting summer trips the best? I am excited to hear the details about yours!
I could quote You've Got Mail forwards and backwards and all that, but I've only seen SiS twice, and An Affair to Remember once! I'm a bad chick-flick fan. Maybe I'll work harder at it.
Your piano recital made me smile. :) How cute with just the three students. The picture of Mariah's head made me laugh so hard!
