"I'm Sailing! I'm Sailing!"

Movie quote time- who knows it?

David took me on a very special date a couple weekends ago. It was a complete surprise. Usually I try to figure out surprises and I'm pretty good at it. I thought I had this one. I was told there was a boat and car extravaganza held this particular weekend. When I asked David if the surprise date was going to the boat show he said, "No, but we are going on a boat." I was so excited.

Redsail offers a local discount on Friday night sunset cruises. What a perfect combination- local discount, sailboat, and my husband.

We sat on the black netting towards the front of the catamaran. It was so cool to see the crystal clear water beneath us. It was a gorgeous night too. David looks so cute in this picture. I tease him because he is wearing sunglasses on his head. That is a pet peeve of mine (especially when people do it at church!).
I hate posting pictures of just myself, but I hate pictures where one of us is holding the camera out with one arm and a perfect armpit view even more. Another pet peeve. :)

The sunset was very pretty. The cruise lasted about two hours. One of my favorite parts would have to be when David sang along with the background Bob Marley music in my ear. He'll be embarrassed that I shared that. :)

He told me the agenda was to take the sunset cruise, eat sushi at Yoshi's across the street from where the boat docked, and then finish off the evening at the Westin lobby where there is a live pianist every evening. Well, Yoshi's had an hour and a half wait and the piano guy wasn't playing that night. We drove went into Gino's Pizza, a ghetto Chinese place, Lonestar, Legendz, and found that none of those places looked appealing. We still ended up going back to Yoshi's which was a great choice. I'm still craving that sushi (caterpillar roll and perfect 10 for anyone who wants a suggestion for the next time they eat there).

My dream is to own a sailboat someday. I'll play Bob Marley music, insist that David sing along, and of course wear my red sailor dress (the dress does wonders. I'm pretty sure David fell in love me when I was wearing it a couple years ago. Let's hope it fits when I come home this summer).

What about Bob is one of my all time favorite movies. I think I've seen it 100 times. What a fun date - You are the opposite of Simon. He told me once that the two things that he NEVER wants to own are 1. a boat 2. a hot tub. Maybe if he had a cute sailor outfit, he'd change his mind :) P.s. It's sad, but I'm one of those people that always leave their sunglasses on their head in the summer- sorry - I don't do it at church though.

How fun! That is such a fun date he planned for you! P.S. I didn't have a creme brulee kit and it was still so simple! You do need a torch though. Anyways, I miss you. Hope to see you sometime soon.

So I wonder how long it will take before you're back on a flight down there for vacation after you come back home. What a dream life you're living! Oh, and bring that little turquoise sweater you're wearing in the picture. I just bought Savanna a similar one and she would love to be twins with you I'm sure.
