Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending some time with this cute-as-a-button little girl. We went swimming, played on our laptops (she brought her own), and went grocery shopping. She was making me laugh the entire time, and I love her little Jamaican accent. Quotes from Rohanna:
"Don't be scared, mon!"
(As I came out of the bathroom after changing in my swimsuit) "Oooooh, you a pretty lady."
"Can you buy me a sweetie (her term for candy). I want another one of those sweeties."
Me: "Are you a baby or a big girl?"
Rohanna: "Me a bebe."
David: "Are you a baby or a big girl?"
Rohanna: "Me a child a God."
And as we shopped in the early evening, the busiest time at the grocery store, Rohanna sang "I Am a Child of God," throughout each isle... that is until we got to the "sweetie" isle.
Today at church she walked in with a pink Sunday hat and perfectly braided hair. We had a baptism today and after the lady bore her testimony and started getting emotional, Rohanna went up to her to give her a hug. It was adorable. It made me want to buy her all the "sweeties" in the world.
