You Should Try This

The Perfect Saturday: 1) Slept in later than usual, but early enough to go to a few garage sales. A lady thought David was the one hosting the garage sale and asked how much something was. David told her a random price, then admitted that it wasn't his garage sale. 2) Cleaned the entire apartment including fridge and drawers. Refolded every piece of clothing and color coordinated both wardrobes. 3) Painted my toes. 4) Made these delicious cinnamon rolls that you should really try. 5) Went on a pirate ship with Del Sol friends. Pictures to come.

"Divine!" Casey Madsen, Pleasant Grove, UT
"They aren't that hard to make, and they really impressed my guests!" Shalynna, Mesa, AZ
"I'm still craving them!" Elisa Seely, Bellevue, WA
"The best part about them is the love that you can taste in each bite." David, Sacramento, CA

Here's the recipe. It calls for a bread machine, but you don't really need one.

Ingredients: 1 cup warm milk, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup margarine, melted, 4 1/2 cups bread flour, 1 t salt, 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 1/2 t bread machine yeast.

1 cup packed brown sugar, 2 1/2 T ground cinnamon, 1/3 cup butter, softened.

3 ounces cream cheese, softened, 1/4 cup butter, softened, 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, 1/2 t vanilla, 1/8 t salt.

Directions: Place ingredients in bread machine pan in order of wet to dry. Select dough cycle. After dough has doubled in size turn it out onto a lightly floured surfaced, cover and let rest for 10 minutes. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a 16 x 21 in rectangle. Spread dough with 1/3 C butter and sprinkle evenly with sugar/cinnamon mixture. Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls. Place rolls in a lightly greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake rolls until golden brown, about 15 minutes. While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, 1/4 C butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla and salt. Spread frosting on warm rolls.

I think this is what I am going to give out as Christmas treats this year. I'm already starting to think about that stuff. I love this time of year when the best holidays are in the next few months.
