There was a big competition between at Kirk Freeport to make the best Pride Book. Basically, out of twenty or so stores that Kirk Freeport owns the managers had to put together a book of photos, guidelines, and summaries on their stores, merchandise, and other details about their store. David is so good with computers and is also a perfectionist, so I wasn't surprised at all when he won! The award was a sunset cruise for his employees. The girls chose the Jolly Roger pirate ship- mainly because it has an open bar. I would have opted for the sailboat, but I don't work at Del Sol anymore (thankfully! :) so I didn't have much say.

The two stores aren't necessarily the best of friends. When one store throws a birthday party for David, Jamie, Casey, or myself the other store always tries to one up. If one store plans an after work activity, the other store starts planning something too. But, this particular night there was no store 1 or store 2, everyone was friends and we all had a jolly good time.

Isn't Casey gorgeous? She was reminding me of Cameron Diaz all night. I think she resembles her. I really love this girl.

This is Olga and her husband Sean. She is from Honduras and he is Caymanian. These two are so in love.

Jamie just had family visit over the week. They were such nice people- it's no wonder why she is so sweet. I adore Jamie. She's one of those people that listens to every single word you say even if you are talking about "foolishness" (Caribbean term that everyone uses!). I don't know if I've ever met a better listener. I am so blessed to have these girls out here. I've enjoyed every moment of getting to know them.

David was taking pictures all night. Right before we got on the ship Paty yelled, "David, take my picture," and gave us this pose. She is so funny. She tells everyone that she's 31 when really she's like 35. She's pregnant with a little boy that she is going to name Jaden.

Rosa and her niece Taz. Rosa is possibly one of the best cooks in the Caribbean. I really want to learn how to make Caribbean dishes from her so that I can impress all of you when we come home.

This beauty that I'm sitting next to is Millicent. She stared me up and down for a good two weeks before she talked to me. Now she's one of my favorite girls at Del Sol. She is like the ring leader of store 1. She comes across as this serious woman, but deep down she's a Lifetime movie watching sap that has a tender heart. She also thinks that our church makes white people sit on one side of the church and black people on the other. We've been telling her to come see for herself, but she always laughs when we invite her. Maybe eventually she will come.

David took pictures all night, so he wasn't in any of them. This is the only one I got of him. He's drinking the delicious fruit punch. They serve fruit punch and rum punch everywhere. My sister Asialene ordered some rum punch and almost drank it when she was down here, not realizing there was actually rum in it. She just thought it would be fun to drink rum punch because they talk about it in Mary Poppins. Remember? "Rum punch. Quite satisfacory. Hiccup."
It was really fun to see all of the Del Sol employees enjoying themselves. They are all such sweet ladies and I enjoyed spending an evening with them.
By the way, I loved President Uchtdorf's talk at the General Relief Society conference. It's so nice when it seems as if they are talking straight to you. I sure am looking forward to conference next week!

Oh how fun. How impressive that he David won the contest. I'm glad that you had a good time. Austin and the girls want to go on the pirate ship one of these days.
Small correction here ... Asialene DID drink the rum punch! I told her it would have rum in it and she didn't believe me. She drank some and said her mouth was tingling. I told her, of course ... it has RUM. That's why it's called RUM punch! Still makes me laugh thinking about it.

Ha ha! I had "rum punch" at a member's house WITHOUT the rum and it was so good (she did not call it fruit punch, which would have been more helpful). So when I had the option of having it again somewhere else I didn't even hesitate. I thought it would just be the same rum punch mix again, without the alcohol. So there's my explanation.
It looks like you had a great time on the pirate ship. I love your explanations of everyone in the pictures. That is so funny about the blacks/whites in church! It's fun that I've actually met some of those people too.
I loved Elder Uchtdorf's talk as well. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I'm also really looking forward to this weeekend.
