I can't stop thinking about our trip to California in October. We haven't seen David's family for over a year now, so this is a much needed vacation. We will first fly to San Francisco, stay at Jessica's place, then spend the next few days in Sacramento with David's family (photo above), possibly stay at a Bed and Breakfast along the coast, and then visit his dad in Santa Cruise. I'm looking forward to it. I'm just afraid I'll be out of style since I haven't gone shopping in what seems to be a hundred years and I'm also worried that our social skills will be lacking. I've mentioned what the vocabulary is like out here (the only adjective anyone uses is "nice," When you ask someone how they are doing you say, "You alright?" and if you want to get someone's attention you say, "Hello!" instead of "Excuse me"). So, hopefully the Crandalls will not shun us away for our Jamaican/Caymanian/Honduran/Canadian/Filipino/Cuban vocab or our winter/spring 2007 wardrobes.
