Testing out our new camera...
Doesn't this place look so peaceful? Don't be fooled. Hurricane Gustav is on the way. It should only be a category 1 or 2 by the time it's here, so there is no reason to be alarmed. But, the locals get very cautious since they had to go through this. We are staying at a hurricane proof building that Kirk Freeport owns. It will be David and I, the interns Casey and Jamie, a few other Kirk Freeport employees, and the owners of the company. We are all going there tomorrow afternoon since Gustav is estimated to hit tomorrow evening. I love sleep overs, but this one will probably be different than the ones I imagine from my adolescence. Luckily we have a delicious food storage, great reading material, and a new camera to document our adventure

We saw on the news this morning that Gustav was on track to go right over Grand Cayman (or as they always say on the weather channel, the Grand Cayman Islands.) We hope everything goes ok, we've spent a few nights holed up in that same building when we had close calls. Enjoy the nice pre-hurricane weather!
