Last week was a pretty busy week with work. This time of the year is considered to be the "busy season" because of so many tourists and cruise ships. The main reason why we will not be home for the holidays is because Kirk Freeport employees are not allowed to take a vacation between the months of October and May since this is when business is high. Last week was our company Christmas party that we had been looking forward to for a while. Some of the employees at Del Sol love it and had been talking about what they were going to wear since summer time, and others hate it. They sign up to come every year, but never go. They say they do this so that Kirk Freeport will waste their money on food. They can be so bitter! The party was at a delicious restaurant right on the water called The Grand Old House. This is a cute photo of David and the guys.
Elsie, Larisa, myself, and Jenna are posing for the camera in our festive holiday attire. I bought my skirt ten minutes before the party started. Rushing to get ready that day reminded me of high school dances- getting home from a day activity and hurrying to get ready for the dance. David and I had been garage saling that morning and found some great treasures. The medical school down here is finishing up a semester, so the students had a huge garage sale. We got an iron, ironing board, tools, oil for the car, oil paint for David, cleaning supplies, and even some random groceries for a great price. It was so much fun for me. There is something about getting a deal that makes me so happy. It was literally one of my favorite activities we have done the past six months just because I was able to feel that satisfaction of getting something for a great price.
This is a picture of only a few of the employees. Avi, Loranie, Jenna, David and I, Olga, Rosa, Elsie, and Marla. We were all stuffed after making a few trips to the dessert buffet. The food was so good. It was such a fun night and we just love the people that we work with!

Sha Sha ( sorry i keep calling you that but every time i do it reminds me of celeste). so you bought some oil for your car- that reminds me of the time your dad checked my car "ole" and there was none in it!
don't you miss last chance? I have had to resort to garage saling too to satisfy my need for a great deal- even though nothing compares to fabulous clothes for $2.97. Love ya. I wish i could see you!
