Post Valentine's Day

It really bothers me if holiday decorations/music/activities linger on after a holiday has come and gone. So, you can imagine what it has done to me opening my blog and seeing a Valentine's post several weeks after.

I do have some post Valentine's Day information that I thought was worth sharing.

Story #1:

I had mentioned in my last post that my valentines consisted of self-constructed conversation hearts that had your typical sayings on them- Be mine, call me, true love, etc. Well, cute Sister Flelli called me a few days later to say, "I just opened up your little valentine and one of the hearts said to call you." Is that not the cutest/funniest thing?

A couple weeks ago I had a small brunch over at my house for Sister Flelli, her husband Marino, and Cynthia Ebanks. I made my first quiche along with delicious German pancakes and fresh fruit. We enjoyed our little morning together and it is always nice to engage in conversation with people from all over the world. Marino is a restaurant owner, card playing, pizza eating, pure Italian who moved to the Caribbean many years ago to work. Sister Flelli is a Caymanian who has a heart of gold. She is the relief society president and will do anything for anyone. Cynthia is a witty little British woman who uses perfect English words such as "brilliant" and is always a huge support to the branch.

2nd story:

As mentioned, I gave the primary children valentines. When I went around that Sunday evening to drop off cupcakes- I saw that little Monique Hernandez had taped her valentine on the wall next to their family picture. What a way to melt my heart.

I'm telling you- I love these people.
