Two Things on My Mind

Our week was pretty quiet. David played a lot of tennis- three matches in one day. He is participating in the Cayman Open tournament and is involved in all three categories- mens singles, mens doubles, and mixed doubles. When I heard he is playing doubles with another woman I almost decided to join the club myself, luckily his little tennis partner is well into her 50's. :)

We went to a SOUP-er bowl where a bunch of different restaurants offered soup samples. There was a contest for the top three soups. I don't know what it is about me- but I ended up adding a side not of the best personality even though it wasn't part of the competition. It's like I feel like I want to repay them for being so nice or something.

Anyway, on to the top two things that are on my mind lately.

We watched the Australian Open final early Sunday morning (started at 4:00 AM our time!) and I cannot stop thinking about it. It broke my heart to see Roger Federer in tears. I'm not even a big fan of his- I wanted Nadal to win the whole time. But, he could not stop crying and it makes me want to cry every time I think about it.

The second thing on my mind is TRAVELING! I am dying to travel somewhere. I have a huge list of places I want to go and things I want to see. I want to have a taste of the cultures in so many different countries that it almost overwhelms me. My sister and her husband just got back from Australia and New Zealand. They are my idols when it comes to traveling. They have been to five continents and probably 25 countries or more. This picture made me GREEN with envy.

The koala bear looks like a little baby! I guess until we can travel the world I can cuddle up with an iguana or a turtle. I sure hope that by the end of the year I'll be able to say I went to one of the countries on my list.

This week we are applying for BYU again. I don't think it's a long process, so I'm not too worried about it. I also hope to finalize plans to go home in March for the auction. It looks as if there is a possibility I might go to Arizona to meet the family instead of Utah. If so, I will surely be visiting good friends and, of course, Last Chance. I guess you could say the third thing on my mind is Last Chance. :)

I am so jealous of your sister too! Do you know that koalas are my favorite animal and that if I could pick any country to visit that it would be Australia? That is awesome that your sister and her husband are able to travel so much.

The koala was cool until I saw it pooping right after I let it go and then a ranger lady wiped it's butt with her pinky finger. I'll never think of koalas the same way.

Also, it was fun to be in Australia during the Australian Open! In hind site, we should have tried to go to a match.

You are so cute. I am excited to finally get to do something with you again soon. I hate Austin being back in school. It puts such a damper on all our fun activities.

I cannot believe that is your blue bag. I was hoping that was an ad and you would say where to get the adorable thing. Is your hair chin length?? That would be sooo cute on you! I have been thinking about doing that although right now I would look like a whale since I am prego.
I am so excited you will be moving back here. Chad and I are going to utah in march and I will be in az in april...so let me know if you will be around. that is so sad that sports player kept crying! What an awesome conference you got to go to with erying and bednar. they are my favorite. Miss you soo much! Hope everything is well.
