A Night on Broadway

We had a fun evening last night with the Elder and Sister Pack, Murray and Ginny Johnson and their grandkids, and Cynthia Ebanks (all friends from the branch). I had been wanting to go to the musical at the theatre house for a while, and an "anonymous donor" purchased tickets for David and I so we could join everyone. It was very generous of them. As a thank you to whoever the anonymous donor was, I wanted to make everyone dinner. I made lasagna, caesar salad, garlic bread, and a new favorite recipe of brushetta, served with sparkling cider and Sister Pack's delicious dessert. I was stressing about the dinner turning out since so many people were going to be there, but it turned out just fine. I love when that happens.

The theatre house is very small and intimate, which makes every seat a perfect distance from the stage. We sat down in a row, then moved to two rows so no one would have to be in the corner, then switched rows so that Murray's "big head" wouldn't be in Cynthia's way, then switched again, it was like a Seinfeld episode- it was so funny.

The singers and dancers were wonderful. There is a lot of talent on this little island. The performance consisted of an arrangement of several Broadway hits. A few favorites of mine were Anyone But You from Annie, On My Own from Les Mes, and We Go Together from Grease.
My very part of the night was each time Hannah performed. She is a wonderful singer/actress/friend. We loved being there with good friends and fun entertainment. Thank you, Anonymous Donor whoever you are and wherever you are!

P.S. The black spots on the photos are of Elder Pack's head. He sat in front of me.

I'm glad the black spots are Elder Pack's head and not a flaw in your camera because I was really worried about that. :) Sounds like a lot of fun! I would have really enjoyed that. "On My Own" is one of my very favorite songs.
