New Year's Eve was quiet this year. We ate dinner at the Hernandez Family's house and then went home, I fell asleep until David woke me up around midnight to watch the ball drop in New York, and then we stayed up late watching the last of the prequels to Star Wars. We have been in a random Star Wars phase. Neither of us had ever watched them growing up, but lately we started watching the newer ones. We decided on some New Year's resolutions together. We put together a budget, which was one of our goals. We have envelopes with labels and the amount of money we can spend each month on that particular category- rent, food and groceries, gas, dates and entertainment, etc. I'm very excited to be this organized and it will help us feel as if we aren't throwing our money away. It is very expensive to live on this island! Another resolution for us was to get our home teaching and visiting teaching done before the end of the month. I have left mine for the very last day of the month way too many times. David has some physical goals such as working out, but of course I don't even go there. Why make a New Year's resolution to exercise if I know I'm not going to do it? It is really funny, we noticed that on New Year's Day there were tons of people out jogging. We'll probably see that for the next few weeks until everyone forgets about resolutions and New Year's.

Those are some good resolutions. I like that budget idea. I'm going to try and get Davis to do that with me. You are so funny about working out! That island is the perfect place for it - you should take advantage. I wish we could be workout partners (I really need one so I would actually do it!)
